Brilliants Privacy Policy

    Brilliants ("Service") establishes this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea to protect users' personal data and to handle related complaints efficiently.

    Article 1 (Purpose of Processing Personal Information)

    The Service processes personal information for the following purposes. The collected information will not be used for any purposes other than those specified below. If the purpose changes, we will obtain prior consent.

    • Membership registration and management
      Google OAuth-based login, identification and authentication, nickname/profile setting

    Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Processed)

    The Service processes the following personal data:

    • Items collected: Google ID, Google email address, nickname, profile image, and service-specific user ID
    • Method of collection: via Google OAuth login and user input

    Article 3 (Retention and Processing Period)

    Personal information is retained until the purpose of collection and use is achieved, and deleted without delay upon membership withdrawal.
    However, if a longer retention period is required by law, the data will be stored accordingly.

    Article 4 (Handling of Children Under 14)

    Brilliants does not allow the registration of users under the age of 14 and does not collect their personal information.

    • Users are asked to confirm they are 14 or older during registration.
      If a user is found to be under 14, their account will be immediately deleted without notice and their personal data will not be retained.
    • No parental consent procedures are in place since the service does not operate accounts for minors under 14.

    Article 5 (Overseas Transfer of Personal Information)

    The Service uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) for data storage, which involves the transfer of data overseas.

    • Country: United States
    • Recipient: Amazon Web Services, Inc.
    • Timing and method: automatically upon account creation, via secure API
    • Items: Google ID, email address, nickname, profile settings
    • Purpose: secure data storage and server operation
    • Retention period: until membership withdrawal or deletion request

    Article 6 (Automatic Data Collection and Cookie Usage)

    The Service uses cookies and similar technologies for session maintenance and user analytics.

    • Collected items: access logs, IP address, login tokens (cookies)
    • Purpose: maintain login sessions, analyze usage for improvement
    • Cookie Management: Users can refuse cookies through their browser settings. Refusing cookies may limit service functionality.

    Article 7 (Provision to Third Parties)

    The Service does not currently provide personal data to third parties.
    If such provision becomes necessary, the policy will be updated, and prior consent will be obtained.

    Article 8 (Outsourcing)

    No personal information processing is currently outsourced.

    Article 9 (User Rights)

    Users may request the following at any time:

    • Access and correction of personal data
    • Deletion
    • Suspension of processing
